Joan Findley-Perls is the founder and co-owner of Inside Job, assisting individuals and business owners to declutter and organize their homes and offices, helping to bring calmness, simplicity, serenity and some efficiency to their lives.
With a BA in environmental design from the University of New Mexico, Joan has worked in a variety of fields from design and construction to event planning to Community Liaison at the American Consulate General in Frankfurt, Germany while her husband was posted there with the Department of State as a Diplomat. Joan has a practical knowledge of how things go together and what makes a space work efficiently and beautifully.
Joan has a great sensitivity for how uncomfortable it can be to have someone come into your home or business and help you look critically at your things and your habits. She enjoys helping people see those things in a new light to help facilitate the process of simplifying their surroundings and streamlining their habits to free up time and achieve more serenity in their lives.
Bob Perls is a co-owner of Inside Job. Former CEO, State Representative and U.S. Diplomat, Bob is an expert in organizational management. He is a serial entrepreneur in the healthcare, cybersecurity and renewable energy spaces with extensive experience in local, state, federal and foreign governments. In addition, he has co-founded multiple non-profits in the election reform and education spaces.
Bob moved to New Mexico when he was five years old and raised a family in Albuquerque and Corrales. He attended Albuquerque Public Schools, Pomona College, where he earned a B.A. in Government and University of Maryland where he earned an M.S. in Healthcare Management with honors.
Bob started his own medical technology company, Monitech, Inc., in Albuquerque, at the age of 24 and sold it in 2008 after 25 years of operation. In addition, he was elected to two terms to the New Mexico House of Representatives representing parts of Sandoval County, did consulting for a Governor Bill Richardson on ways to create rural jobs through renewable energy and ran unsuccessfully for Congress and the PRC for a total of 13 years of political, elected and campaign experience.
With his wife, Joan, he co-founded a charter school in Albuquerque, NM called Public Academy for Performing Arts and founded another non-profit called New Mexico Open Primaries focused on election reform.
Bob spent 2009 working on two start-up companies, one in telemedicine and one in cybersecurity. He became a U.S. Diplomat in January 2010 and served in Germany, Canada, Pakistan and The Gambia for the Department of State. Since his return, he was SVP of a medical IT company and was city manager for a small New Mexico city. He is currently consulting under the banner of Inside Job, LLC.He lives in Corrales with his wife Joan. Bob races mountain and cyclocross bikes, skis and practices Tai Chi. They have four grown children.
